Getting Ready for Baby!

I am SO excited, it is almost time…9 more days! I love being pregnant, but I am ready to meet this precious baby BOY or GIRL!
My husband Jerry is my own personal budding photographer for times when I need to be in front of the lens instead of behind it. It doesn’t happen often…but it does happen. He wants to make sure I give him props for his fine job on my maternity shoot the other day. BRAVO Jerry!
We took a TON of pictures that I love, but I just have time to post these two for now. I have much to do to get ready for this baby…time is ticking! ==Leah==

Rachel’s Senior Shoot * Las Vegas High School Senior Graduation Photography

Talk about las minute! Just when I thought I had finished photographing my last Senior from the Class of 2010, I got a call from Rachel’s Mom. She really wanted to treat her daughter to a special photo shoot and was hoping it was not too late. I managed to squeeze her into my schedule and I am certainly glad I did!
Rachel was a joy to work with, I especially got along with her since she is into photography herself!
BEAUTIFUL. Rachel has a soft and sweet personality, so I wanted to make sure her portraits represented that.
At the time Rachel had not yet received her cap and gown. Since her brother had already graduated from the same High School, she was in luck and was able to use his in the photo shoot! Awesome.

Alright, now that officially concludes the sessions for the Class of 2010! Thanks to all of you who invited me to be a part of your Graduation celebration. It was the BEST year ever and I truly loved working withall of you!

Anthony’s Senior Shoot * Las Vegas Senior Graduate Photographer

And part two of the Miller’s shoot: Tony’s Senior Portraits!
Tony loves music and theater, and plans to continue pursuing these talents throughout college.
Tony is part of a local band that performs here in Las Vegas. I was really happy he brought his guitar and enjoyed hearing him play whenever we stopped for a shot. By the way, he also plays bass!
There are so many I like from Tony’s shoot, but I’m thinking this handsome one is my fav:

Spring Baby Girl Portraits * Las Vegas Baby and Family Photographer

I love spring. I love babies. Right in the midst of the fast paced and busy High School Senior Season, it was a delight to schedule a BABY session for a change. Shelly saw the work I did for one of her friends and decided to book her own shoot with me to celebrate the milestone of her daughter turning 6 months old.
This is baby Hannah. Her parents call her “Monkey” but I think they may also need to consider a nickname like “Bright Eyes” or something to that effect…just look at those gorgeous Baby Blues!!!
Gotta LOVE that sassy tutu and those pink chucks!
What a beautiful family, they definitely need to grace the earth with more adorable kids!
I totally dig this next photo…little one looking up to Mommy and Daddy, held steady by their loving hands. They do not stay that little and dependent for very long. Sigh.
For 6 month babies I always like to put together a “Personality Storyboard” for the parents. These are collages feautring the different faces and expressions the 6 month old has acquired as their little character is blossoming. Of course these are fun to create for any age baby or child. Moms and Dads love these…gotta preserve the different looks of your little one’s personality before everything changes! Cutie Hannah’s Personality Storyboard:
I love how Hannah’s music video turned out, I can just feel the total essence of spring each time I view it!
OK, that was a great baby fix. I can’t wait to have my own new little baby here soon…now back to the Senior Season Grind!!! ==Leah==

Eggers Family Session * Las Vegas Family & High School Senior Photographer

Once again I had a Family/Senior combo session scheduled. We had a great outdoor location planned for the shoot, but it turned out to be an extremely windy day so it was decided to move it to the client’s house. The Eggers welcomed me to their home and we began shooting indoors, but I scoped out some spots in their yard which was shielded enough from the gusts.
And now, THE GRAD: Taylor is a homeschooled student (just like I was!) and is looking forward to graduating and beginning college.
Taylor looked quite dapper in his full suit, but when the time came he was glad to get out of it and into an outfit that represented his “everyday style”.
It is always an honor and joy to meet new families and be invited into their lives to capture their personal stories. It has been the busiest and best Senior season yet, thanks to all who have made it so great!!!

Miller’s Family Shoot * Las Vegas Family Photographer

Hello! This is going to be a two-part post today. Dawn had been planning for a long time to do a combo shoot with me in the spring…to take her oldest son’s Senior pictures at the same as a family shoot. So part one showcases the FAMILY phase:
Look at this SHARP group! Dawn really wanted a super-stylishly coordinated wardrobe for her family session, so we spent much time talking and texting about it. I was so so so pleasantly pleased with the outcome, I just love how they all look!
In case you don’t know, I am in my last trimester of pregnancy and we do not know the gender of our baby! I told Dawn that if I end up having three sons like her, I’ll definitely have to go to her for advise! She is a gorgeous Mamma surrounded by a bunch of adoring handsome guys. Sweet!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this playful one…too cute. I gotta do one like this when my kids are older!

Yummy! Popcorn Chicago Popcorn Flavors * Las Vegas Commercial Website Photographer

I’ve recently begun working with Popcorn Chicago, a local Gourmet Popcorn company who is going to build a brand new website to accompany their online expansion! They hired me to create close up shots of TWENTY-THREE different popcorn flavors they make!!! I must admit, this has been the YUMMIEST shoot I have ever done…and my family sure was happy with all the popcorn I was brining home! Here is a sample of some of their delicious flavors…

Senior Shoot for Kara * Las Vegas Class of 2010 Senior Graduate Photographer

This is Kara, 2010 Valedictorian Grad! She was so excited for her senior portrait shoot, she was smiling all day!
Of course her giddy enthusiasm made it easy to capture beautiful shots!
Kara is super excited to be attending Corban University this fall; she proudly incorporated her school t-shirt into the mix and wanted me to capture it in a special way.
The day was beautiful, perfect for dressing up and posing for the camera. You go girl!
During one of our consultations before her shoot, Kara mentioned she was thinking of bringing her Prom dress to include in her session’s wardrobe. ”YES, FOR SURE!” I proclaimed! I’m SO glad she did, it was really cool to end the shoot in such a special dress!
I had a blast with you on your shoot, Kara! Enjoy the music video!

Regina’s College Grad Shoot * Las Vegas Graduate Portrait Photographer

This is REGINA.
Regina called me and asked if she could schedule a shoot to celebrate her graduation from college. She wanted some nice portraits to include with her grad announcements and I thought is was a marvelous idea…she is my first College Grad session! While I’m running fast with High School Graduate season, it was fun to do something a little different.
She’s graduating from UNLV and the excitement she has just radiates from her!
Regina couldn’t wait to kick off her shoes and lay down on the grass…but I made her wait until the end of the session, just in case she got her clothes dirty!
I loved hanging out with her and her sister, enjoying the lovely spring weather and having a blast with the photography. A BEAUTIFUL day with a BEAUTIFUL subject!
Regina says she and her husband have been checking out the maternity portraits on my website…even though they are going to wait a little while longer before starting a family, they are already planning what they want during their maternity shoot with me. Her hubby wants to make sure he gets some great shots of his wife preggers…How adorably sweet! I can’t wait!!!!
Congratulations Regina, you’ve worked so hard to get where you are and I’m sure your family is so proud of you! This marks the end AND beginning of some significant chapters in your life…Call me as soon as the chapter “baby” comes around!!! :)

Senior Shoot for Jesse * Las Vegas Class of 2010 Senior Photographer

Taking a moment now to highlight the session I did for 2010 High School Grad JESSE.
Jesse has such a FUN and SWEET personality, just like the rest of his family! I knew this shoot was gonna turn out great, and Jesse is no one to disappoint! He is so stinkin’ photogenic and great to work with.
So glad he wanted to do some shots in a full suit, looking SHARP, Grad!
Adding his guitar into the mix was definitely a must…Jesse is an awesome guitarist! That day he was excited to tell me about his great college plans involving his musical talents. Congratulations, Jesse!
And not only is this guy a great guitar player…you should see him on the ball field! He is known for his mad baseball skills too!
He wanted to make sure I got his number photographed, how’s this for ya Jesse!?
